What You’ll Need
• A
computer (Windows/macOS/Linux)
• Around
20 GB of free disk space
Step 1: Download & Install VirtualBox
1. Visit
the official VirtualBox website:
2. Click
“Download”.
3. Choose
the version for your OS (Windows/MacOS)
4. Run
the installer and follow the setup instructions.
Step 2: Download Kali Linux ISO
1.
Head to
Kali's official website:
https://www.kali.org/get-kali/

Select “Virtual Machines”.

Select VirtualBox and Download the .7zip file.
Tip: Use torrent if your internet is
unstable.
Step 3: Extract the Downloaded File
1. Use
a tool like 7-Zip or WinRAR to extract the .7z file.
2. After
extraction, you’ll get a .vbox file and a .vdi file — this is your virtual
machine!
Step 4: Launch Kali Linux Instantly
1. Just
double click the .vbox file.
2. VirtualBox
will automatically add it to your list of VMs.
3. Select
the VM in VirtualBox and hit Start.
Step
5: Login to Kali Linux
• Username:
kali
• Password:
kali
You're Done!
In less than 10 minutes, you’ve got a fully working Kali
Linux machine — ready for ethical hacking, testing, or experimentation.
Final Tips
• Update
the system: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
• Create snapshots to save VM states before hacking tools testing
